Sad news: Robert C. Topp. (1945-2012)

Robert ''Bob'' Topp, a true gentleman and a fine lawyer, has passed. He is now reunited with his wife of 35 years, Helene Topp (nee Pilon).

Robert was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 13, 1945. He served as an O.P.P. officer in Dowling, Ontario before earning a Bachelor's Degree from Laurentian University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto. Robert also served as a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada and received Life Bencher status before retirement.

Robert is survived by his children, Daniel (Tracy), Ann Elizabeth and Sarah (Christopher) and his grandchildren William, Charlotte and Thomas who were his greatest joy in the final years of his life.

The funeral service will be held at St. Jean de Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 26 Kathleen Street, Sudbury, on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:00 am. Burial to immediately follow at Chelmsford Roman Catholic Cemetery. A celebration of Robert's life will take place at the Ambassador Hotel, 255 Falconbridge Road, Sudbury, beginning at 3:00 pm. Friday.
